Environmental Justice: Promoting and sustaining initiatives and equitable solutions addressing ecological challenges and inequalities affecting Black and minority communities. This includes
- Advocating for clean air and water,
- Supporting initiatives that promote environmental stewardship and clean energy access,
- Addressing ecological racism, and
- Educating and promoting sustainable practices that benefit underserved neighborhoods.
Good Hood Foundation staff have facilitated community organizing and policy development work across the U.S. Our staff has led state and regional grassroots education, and worked on the ground to build environmental justice initiatives.
